New Player Guide

A practical first-session handbook for healing, stats, controls, gear, travel, Sunsets, companions, and account safety.

Welcome to Redmoon Fantasy

Your first five minutes

You do not need to memorize the whole game. Set up healing first, learn where your stats live, follow the active quest, and use the permanent in-game Guide button whenever you need this information again.

First-session checklist

  1. 1. Learn the bottom bar
Character shows your level and primary stats. Item is your carried inventory. Equipment shows worn gear. Skill contains learned abilities. Quick is your nine-slot action bar. Quest shows the active campaign assignment. Guide reopens the beginner help window at any time.
  2. 2. Prepare recovery items
Open Item and Quick together. Put HP-restoring food or medicine in Quick slot 1 and an MP-restoring drink in Quick slot 2. Press Ctrl + 1 for fast healing and Ctrl + 2 for fast mana recovery. Keep both stocked before leaving town.
  3. 3. Choose a weapon path
Your equipped weapon decides the damage stat used by ordinary attacks and weapon-compatible skills: Strength for swords, spears, bazookas and grenades; Dexterity for guns and bows; Spirit for wands and orbs.
  4. 4. Start safely
Speak with nearby NPCs, use the Quest journal for the current objective, and follow the Map Levels route. The Portal Map NPC is the easiest way to learn major destinations.

What each stat does

StrengthSword, spear, bazooka and grenade damage; also increases carrying capacity.
SpiritWand and orb damage, and the governing stat for pure caster skills.
DexterityGun and bow damage; also improves running endurance.
PowerDefense and survival against monster attacks. It is not a weapon damage stat.
Bonus PointsEarned while leveling and from quests. Spend them in Character to shape your build.
Where to find them: open Character on the bottom task bar. Item tooltips show the bonuses a piece will add before you equip it.

Healing, MP and the Quick bar

  • The bottom-right bars show HP, MP, EXP and stamina. Stop and heal before HP reaches zero.
  • Put HP food or medicine in Quick slot 1 and press Ctrl + 1 for fast healing. Put an MP recovery item in Quick slot 2 and press Ctrl + 2 for fast mana recovery.
  • You can move a stacked consumable to Quick and choose how many to carry there. Refill before a long dungeon route.
  • Doctors and hospitals restore your character. Death can return you to a hospital and clears temporary buffs, so carrying recovery items is faster and safer.
  • Running consumes stamina. Walk briefly to recover it; Dexterity makes sustained running more efficient.

Controls and useful shortcuts

  • Left-click moves, selects, and uses interface controls. Double-click an equippable item to equip it when your class and level qualify.
  • Enter opens chat. Ctrl + 1 through 9 activates the matching numbered Quick slot; use slots 3 through 9 for any other items you want ready.
  • For keyboard skill navigation, first use the Menu button to enter either Fullscreen Fit or Fullscreen Stretched. With Shortcut Key Mode enabled, normal skills use Ctrl + Q-W-E-R-T-Y-U-I, P, then A through L. The special skill uses Ctrl + O.
  • Shift + left-click an inventory item while chat is open to insert a safe item-inspection link.
  • Stuck asks twice before returning your character to Street 2. Use it only when movement or a doorway truly cannot recover you.

Items, equipment and weight

  • Item holds carried objects; Equipment shows the pieces currently affecting combat. Hover an item to read requirements and live stat bonuses.
  • Weapons and armor must match their intended class, slot, level and required stats. A visible skill may still require the correct weapon before it can fire.
  • Strength raises your weight limit. When overloaded, move spare gear to a personal bank, the account-wide Shared bank, or sell what you do not need.
  • Equipment slots hold one item each. Rings have multiple legal slots. Pet eggs and pet passives use their own dedicated slots.
  • Never refresh during an item save or upgrade. Wait for the save confirmation so the authoritative server transaction can finish.

Skills and building a character

  • Skills unlock as their level requirements are reached. The Skill window lists the active class set and the required weapon where one applies.
  • Pure caster damage is Spirit-based. Physical and hybrid skills normally follow the weapon in hand.
  • AOE attacks hit several valid targets; single-target skills require one target. Buff and utility skills may target yourself, a group member, or another player.
  • Open Effects to inspect equipment effects and every active player-cast buff with its icon and live remaining timer.
  • A balanced early build is forgiving, but later gear performs best when its named rolls match your weapon damage stat.

Maps, quests and safe zones

  • Quest shows the current objective, area, progress and reward. Archivist Elara controls the campaign assignments.
  • Use Map Levels on the website for the intended progression route. A map requirement is a minimum, not a promise that an unprepared build is safe.
  • Portal and travel NPCs open destination choices. Read the confirmation before entering a dungeon, pet trial or BattleMatch.
  • Sunset upgrades are allowed only in safe upgrading areas. Downtown 1 and Freedom Village have upgrade NPCs; dedicated upgrade-NPC maps are also treated as safe.
  • Groups can stay connected across maps. Same-area active members receive the normal finalized shared reward; companion EXP remains personal.

Sunset gear in plain language

  • Sunsets have a native stage in the item itself plus four rolls shown as Strength-Spirit-Dexterity-Power.
  • Native stage plus all four rolls form the total Sunset level. Every 20 total levels increases the value of every named point, up to the original fifth band. The live 5× values also receive native-tier multipliers: 1.00×, 1.10×, 1.22×, 1.35×, Superior 1.50× and Paramount 1.80×. This requires the updated server and a refreshed client: look for native-tier multiplier in Character → Effects. Earlier sessions may still use band-only values.
  • Paramount is included as native stage 5. The server calculates the bonus and the client displays that same result.
  • Hidden weapon Attack and non-weapon Defense still rise with the six-tier ladder. Named rolls and hidden tier power are separate parts of the item.
  • Upgrading spends the displayed EXP and can break the item. Read the exact server-provided chance before every attempt.

Chat, groups, armies and trading

  • Shout reaches the current map; To is private; Group, Army and Alliance use their named communities; Global reaches the server.
  • Trade only through the live trade window and verify every item before accepting. Never exchange account passwords or trusted-device access.
  • Groups support up to 10 players and show member level, map, HP/MP and online state. Rally lands at the destination safe entrance when allowed.
  • Army systems unlock at endgame. The website lists current armies, the HQ holder, achievements and Paramount boss clears.
  • An account may contain all nine different classes. Different characters on the same account may be logged in simultaneously.

Companions and pet trials

  • Pet eggs summon companions from the egg slot. Pet passive items use the separate passive slot.
  • The Pet Trial Keeper routes you to the selected boss. Read the payment and confirmation before entering.
  • Companions gain personal pet EXP from eligible combat. Their level, family and active state appear in the Pet window.
  • Egg Shards are character-bound progression currency. Pet eggs, shards and passive items cannot be traded or mailed.
  • If a quest-earned pet passive is lost, speak with the appropriate quest NPC to recover the missing one.

QOL, performance and troubleshooting

  • Every account may use the one-time five-day QOL trial from Setup. Paid passes are fixed-duration purchases and do not renew automatically.
  • Auto Loot obeys normal ownership, range, inventory, weight and BattleMatch restrictions. Its category switches only work while Auto Loot is enabled.
  • Low Render Mode reduces optional work, but it should not be required on a healthy modern PC. The number at bottom left is rendering FPS, not network ping.
  • If the client behaves incorrectly, note the character, map name, X/Y, action and exact message before refreshing. Screenshots and Console errors are useful.
  • For a stuck save, missing reward, purchase or account issue, stop repeating the action and contact staff with the character name and approximate time.

Keep these references close

The in-game window is deliberately short. These pages contain the complete live rules and are updated as the server changes.
