Custom Map — Ashen Despair
Map 317: a level-10,000 volcanic endgame hunting ground. Current rules reviewed September 15, 2026.
Ashen Despair is open
A 300 × 499 map based on Signus Valley’s dimensions and 4,800-monster population, with five custom volcanic enemy families, a central volcano and solid scenery. Enter from the Portal Map at level 10,000. The server also checks the level requirement for other entry methods.

Entrance: X150 / Y24. Exit: the ember-colored Return to Portal Map portal at X150 / Y18 returns to Map 311, X13 / Y10. Death in Ashen Despair sends you to the Downtown 1 hospital, not Freedom Village.
Heat waves: prepare before entering
Every 30 seconds, an exposed living character takes 10% of maximum HP as heat damage, rounded up and limited to remaining HP. It is not 10% of your Attack or current HP. Heat can kill you; keep healing supplies ready. The fire hazard indicator marks the danger.
To negate heat, actively equip qualifying Paramount or Fantasy helmet, body, legs, boots and gloves. Mixing the two tiers works. All five core slots must qualify; inventory items do not count. Weapons, shield, belt, necklace and rings are not required for this particular protection. Protection is rechecked as equipment changes.
Difficulty and monster behavior
Each ordinary family has at least 1.5× the strongest finalized Superior Junkyard HP and main-stat baseline, plus a 1.5× permanent defense multiplier. Stronger authored outliers are retained. Actual damage depends on the attack, your defenses and buffs; this does not promise every hit is exactly 1.5× larger.
| Enemy | Threat |
|---|---|
| Ashen Reaver | Close-range melee hunter; stay mobile and avoid being surrounded. |
| Cinder Warden | Hybrid melee and ranged caster, with a seven-tile ranged attack profile. |
| Chainbound Hierophant | Hybrid caster with area attacks; its AOE radius is five tiles. |
| Hellforge Colossus | Long-reaching threat with a nine-tile attack profile. |
| Void Seraph | Hybrid spellcaster with six-tile AOE; avoid clustering. |
Movement and attacks use server-authoritative collision and line-of-sight checks. Solid scenery blocks travel and attacks. Eight-direction custom animation work includes walking, attacks, casting, hurt and death; report any remaining sliding or facing issues with a short recording.
Supers and the Furnace Tyrant
Eligible roaming Super variants have 4× ordinary HP, 1.5× final defense, 2× outgoing damage and 3× finalized EXP. Up to two ordinary Super slots can return after the one-hour post-kill interval.
The map’s custom Super mini-boss, Furnace Tyrant, uses 12× its ordinary source HP, 2× final defense, 2.5× outgoing damage and 5× finalized EXP. One Tyrant slot is available. Each valid kill guarantees exactly one unupgraded regular Sunset, equally selected from 16 active types, including Orb and clear Bazooka. It does not guarantee Superior, Paramount or Fantasy gear.
EXP, pets and ordinary rewards
Ashen uses the Superior Junkyard reward family with a higher reward baseline. Its ordinary kill-drop gate rises from 40% to 60%; eligible chance scaling and currency rewards receive the map’s 1.5× boost. Pet EXP receives a 2.0× Ashen pet-EXP cap (0.2% of the pet’s next-level EXP per eligible kill), so max-level characters still have a reason to train companions here. Personal bonuses and applicable storage/level limits still apply.
Supers improve eligible Unique, regular Sunset and Egg Shard chances and currency, but do not multiply the independent Fantasy weapon, Protection or Durability jackpots. Ordinary monsters drop starting Sunsets, not upgraded tiers. Fantasy armor remains a BattleMatch boss reward; Ashen’s exclusive drops are the seven weapons below.
Seven ultra-rare Fantasy weapons
Fantasy Orb, Sword, Wand, Spear, Bow, Gun and Bazooka require level 10,000. Each has 792,000 base Attack—10% above Paramount’s 720,000 baseline—and the corresponding Paramount calculation with fixed 10 Strength / 10 Spirit / 10 Dexterity / 10 Power rolls. Class restrictions and weapon behavior still apply.
Each eligible Map 317 kill has a separate 1 in 1,000,000 (0.0001%) chance to drop one of the seven weapons, selected equally. That means approximately 1 in 7,000,000 per specific weapon. There is no guaranteed drop after that many kills: independent rolls can take longer. For 4,800 eligible kills, the chance of at least one is about 0.48%.
These odds are not multiplied by the map’s better normal loot or Super bonuses. Furnace Tyrant’s guaranteed Sunset is separate. Fantasy weapons do not come from other maps, traders, gambling or BattleMatch rewards. A successful drop triggers the FANTASY DROP! map announcement.
Combat and practical checklist
Artificial target-HP damage ceilings have been removed globally. Attacks still respect their stat formulas, defense and buffs. Critical chance is capped at 25%, with a 4× multiplier in the resolved damage calculation. Damage text can include overkill; actual HP removed cannot exceed remaining HP. Different attacks and targets are not a valid one-to-one critical comparison.
- Check the five heat-protection slots before committing to a long hunt.
- Keep food in Quick slot 1 and mana items in slot 2 for Ctrl+1 / Ctrl+2.
- Leave space for loot and use the entrance-side exit portal when returning.
- Keep distance from clustered casters and give the Tyrant room.
