Custom Items
Updated item rules, custom gear, Sunset progression, Paramount equipment, and current unique mechanics.
Current Custom Item Rules
This page reflects the current beta item system. Broken placeholder uniques were removed from normal play, drops were tightened, special items now have clearer roles, and subscriber Auto Loot can filter Unique and Sunset pickups separately.
Protection
- Item: Unique 6 / 196
- Rare drop available throughout the game.
- Double-clicking grants the combined booster package for 10 minutes.
- The timer persists through map changes.
Durability
- Item: Unique 6 / 200
- Stacks in inventory, quick bar, personal bank, shared bank, and army bank.
- Used as the currency for the Unique Trader in the Sahara Tradeshop.
- Can drop more often than most other unique items.
Permanent Perks
- Fresh Breeze movement is granted to all characters.
- Psycho Kinesis remote pickup is granted to all characters.
- Stars and Stockings are retired legacy items; they no longer alter characters or skill access.
Stacking Rules
- Duplicate items stack in inventory, quick bar, personal bank, shared bank, and army bank.
- Character equipment slots only hold one equipped item.
- Right-click stacked inventory items to split a quantity into another slot.
- Unrolled copies may stack; a Sunset with durability or upgrade rolls remains its own item and must not merge with a different roll.
- Inventory, quick bar, personal bank, shared bank, mail, and equipment transfers use server-side conservation checks.
- Ground items remain for 5 minutes.
Which Set Should I Use?
Short answer: use Unique pieces for their special utility while leveling, then move into Sunset gear when raw attack and defense matter most. A standard Unique weapon contributes 20,000 hidden Attack; an unrolled Stage 1 Sunset weapon contributes 400,000 (20 times as much), and Stage 2 contributes 440,000 (22 times as much). A standard non-weapon Unique contributes 8,000 hidden Defense; a Stage 1 Sunset armor piece contributes 120,000 (15 times as much). Final damage is not exactly 20 times higher because character stats, the item's visible data, skills, and monster defense are calculated too.
Choose Unique when...
- You need a named effect such as Jupiter/Tears mitigation, Dexterity, or a set bonus.
- You have not reached the level for the next Sunset tier.
- The special effect solves a specific build or survival problem better than raw stats.
Choose Sunset when...
- You want the strongest general-purpose Attack and Defense progression.
- You can equip the next tier: Stage 2 is exactly 10% above Stage 1 before rolls.
- Your named rolls match your build; every point adds 1,000 to its matching Character stat.
Endgame order
- Superior is the level-8,000 Sunset tier.
- Paramount is the level-10,000 final Sunset evolution.
- Fantasy is the event benchmark above a complete ordinary Sunset set and has its own full-set bonuses.
Sunset power comparison
These are the hidden server bonuses of one unrolled item. Visible item data and named rolls are added separately. Every Sunset armor piece also grants 2% monster-damage reduction and tier-scaled Power; weapons grant tier-scaled Strength, Spirit, and Dexterity.
| Tier | vs. Stage 1 | Weapon Attack | Armor Defense | Plain-language comparison |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 1.00x | 400,000 | 120,000 | Starting Sunset; already the raw-stat choice over a standard Unique. |
| Stage 2 | 1.10x | 440,000 | 132,000 | 10% stronger than Stage 1 before rolls. |
| Stage 3 | 1.22x | 488,000 | 146,400 | 22% stronger than Stage 1 before rolls. |
| Stage 4 | 1.35x | 540,000 | 162,000 | 35% stronger than Stage 1 before rolls. |
| Superior | 1.50x | 600,000 | 180,000 | 50% stronger than Stage 1 before rolls. |
| Paramount | 1.80x | 720,000 | 216,000 | 80% stronger than Stage 1 before rolls. |
Unique effects that change a build
Every listed item also receives the ordinary Unique baseline shown in the first row. Unlisted ordinary Uniques still receive that baseline plus any visible stats printed on the item.

| Infrascope / Nagrepar / Fresh Breeze | Infrascope: 500 Dexterity. Nagrepar: 1,000 Dexterity. Fresh Breeze: 1,500 Dexterity; the Fresh Breeze movement baseline is already permanent for every character. |

Sunset Gear
Sunsets are the main long-term upgrade chase. Upgrade NPCs can add one random stat point, advance the stage, or break the item. Each named point adds 1,000 to its matching Strength, Spirit, Dexterity, or Power stat. Weapons and gear share the same six-tier curve (1.00, 1.10, 1.22, 1.35, 1.50, 1.80): weapons gain scaled attack, while every armor piece gains scaled defense plus its rolled stats. Higher stats and higher stages carry more risk.
| Stage | Level Range | Example Name | Base Display |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 0-1,999 | Nauthiz | 1[0-0-0-0] |
| Stage 2 | 2,000-3,999 | Upgraded Nauthiz | 2[0-0-0-0] |
| Stage 3 | 4,000-5,999 | Enhanced Nauthiz | 3[0-0-0-0] |
| Stage 4 | 6,000-7,999 | Augmented Nauthiz | 4[0-0-0-0] |
| Stage 5 | 8,000-10,000 | Superior Nauthiz | 5[0-0-0-0] |
| Paramount | 10,000 | Paramount Sunset Sword | Paramount [0-0-0-0] |
Paramount Sunset Equipment
Paramount is the final Sunset evolution. It requires level 10,000 and ordinary Paramount equipment is forged from the matching Superior item. The boss-exclusive Paramount Sovereign Sigil is the one exception: it has a 5% chance to appear from a successful daily Eclipse Sovereign clear and cannot come from ordinary monsters, traders, or forging. Paramount names display in red. The custom complete-set appearance now requires every class-legal Paramount piece, a compatible weapon, and the equipped Sigil; molten glow remains exclusive to Paramount weapons.

Drop Flow
Regular weapons, gear, accessories, food, MP drinks, gold, and tau are weighted by map progression. Unique and ordinary Sunset drops are intentionally rare, with better chances in harder maps. Paramount never enters the ordinary monster drop pool; the Sovereign Sigil is available only through its explicit ultra-rare final BattleMatch boss roll. Protection and Durability remain available throughout the game but are still controlled by drop tuning.
